DAWSON -- Lauraine I. Hanson, 82, of Dawson, died Tuesday at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church in rural Dawson. Burial will be in Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Ce-metery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Hanson and Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson is handling arrangements.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Providence Township, rural Dawson, to Albert E. and Ida (Oftedahl) Anderson. She attended country school in district 38 in Providence Township and graduated from Dawson High School in 1942.

She married Lloyd E. Hanson Nov. 17, 1945. They lived and farmed in Lac Qui Parle Township until they moved into Dawson in 1990. She was in the Red Cross during World War II, where she rolled bandages and took first aid and Red Cross home nursing courses. She worked as a bookkeeper for Coop Oil Company from 1942 to 1945. She also worked for Countryside Nursing, making home visits. She was president of the hospital auxiliary from 1974 to 1975. After their retirement they spent 16 winters in Leesburg, Fla.
She served as a 4-H leader. She was a member of Riverside Lutheran Church in Dawson. She was also a member of the Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church; where she was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, Hi-League advisor, release time and Bible school teacher. She also sang in the choir and ladies' chorus and served as in officer in WELCA, Bible study circle and reading circle. She was a coordinator in Global Missions; where she made quilt tops.
She is survived by her sons: Lynn (and Claudine) Hanson of Poynette, Wis., Keith Hanson of St. Cloud and Harold Hanson of Moorhead; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; brother: Donald Anderson of Dawson; and sisters: Veloris Miller of Dawson and Gladys (and Albert) Damrose of Rockford, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her brother.
