BENSON -- Lawrence August Carl Rohloff, 90, of Benson, died Saturday at the Madison Lutheran Home.
The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
He was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Fairfield Township, Swift County, to William and Edna (Baumgartner) Rohloff. He grew up in the Holloway area, attended country school through the eighth grade and worked for an ice company in Glenwood.
He married Bernadine Gades on March 10, 1943. They farmed in the Holloway area, nine years in the Hancock area, and then in the Holloway area until he retired. He was a member of the Tara Township board, Farm Bureau and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfield Township where he was a member of the church choir, council, men's group and was the Sunday school superintendent.

He is survived by his wife; three children: Kenneth (and Carol) Rohloff of Danvers, Karen (and Lyle) Schake of Madison and Brenda (and Allan) Oyen of Appleton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a sister: Milda Reu of Fort Collins, Colo.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
