LOWRY -- Lawrence G. Landa, 88, died Saturday at the Glenwood Retirement Village.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church of Lowry. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 5 p.m. at the Hoplin Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1917, on the family farm in Reno Township to Frank and Rose (Novak) Landa. He attended country school through the eighth grade.

On Oct. 2, 1939, he married Helen Dynda at Lowry. They took over the family farm. In 1980 they sold the farm and retired in Lowry.
He is survived by his wife; their children, Allen (and Janis) of Tracy, MN, Barbara (and Ken) Denhardt of Eden Prairie, Judith (and Dennis) Sager of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Agnes Hlinsky and Rosella Schaub, both of Glenwood.
