BENSON -- Leida J. Negaard, 94, of Benson died Jan. 26 in Swift County Benson Hospital in Benson.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church Chapel in Benson.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

She was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Estonia to Ida Janno. She grew up in several towns in Estonia. She was a nurse for nine years and then had to flee from advancing Russian armies. She went to a camp near Hamburg, Germany, and chose to go to the United States after the Allies swept through Germany. She moved to Benson in May of 1950 and worked as a nurse.
She married Arnold Negaard on June 28, 1952. She was a nurse at Swift County Benson Hospital for 30 years and retired in 1979. She moved to Meadow Lane Health Care Center in 2003.
She is survived by two stepchildren: Robert Negaard of Florida and Bonnie (and Ken) Anderson of Eden Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975.
