RAYMOND -- A half-day power outage was reported Wednesday from the Raymond and Prinsburg areas.
The southern part of Clara City was also minimally affected by the power outage, according to the Clara City Police Department.
According to Raymond City Clerk Janice Piechowski, electricity had been out in Raymond since 12:25 p.m. Wednesday. Piechowski said the outage led school officials in Raymond to let students out from class at 2 p.m. Piechowski also said the city was informed the power would likely return sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. today.
The Tribune attempted to contact Prinsburg Mayor Harvey Van Eps, but he was reportedly helping his residents fire-up their electric generators. According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department dispatch, an electrical transformer/lift station was reported to be out in Clara City.
