LAKE LILLIAN -- Leon Russell Sharpe, 79, of Lake Lillian died Friday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Burial will be at Community Cemetery at Lake Lillian.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in rural Lake Lillian to David and Alice (Anderson) Sharpe. He grew up in Lake Lillian and graduated from Bird Island High School.
He married Bernice Brunner on Sept. 2, 1948. Four years later he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served for two years and was stationed in Germany. He returned to the area and they lived in Willmar. They purchased a farm near Lake Lillian and farmed for a short while before moving into town in 1965. He was a Standard Oil bulk agent and later purchased the business, which he operated for 30 years.
He is survived by three sons: Tom Sharpe of Lake Lillian, Paul (and Kathy) Sharpe of Willmar, Jeff Sharpe of Lake Lillian; six grandchildren; and one brother: Charles Sharpe of Cosmos.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002, two brothers and two sisters.
