GRANITE FALLS -- Leonard H. Hanson, 84, of Granite Falls died Friday at the Granite Falls Manor.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Granite Falls City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m., at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born April 18, 1922, in Montevideo to Andrew and Bertha Hanson. He grew up in the Montevideo area and served until 1945 in the United States Navy during World War II.
On Nov. 30, 1947, he married Arlene Youngren. He farmed most of his life.
He is survived by his wife; five children: Richard (and Debbie) Hanson of Milan, Judy (and Jerry) Wangsness of Glenwood, Joyce (and Gene) Iverson of Granite Falls, Charlene (and Tom Brettin) of Granite Falls, and Cheryl (and David) Christensen of Granite Falls; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Florence Carlson of Seattle, Irene Anderson of Granite Falls, and Doris Monson of Madison; one brother: Donald Hanson of Anchorage, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
