APTOS, Calif. -- LeRoy Arnold Heining, 63, of Aptos, Calif., formerly of Atwater, died Sept. 3 at the Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, Calif.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in Atwater. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Atwater Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Willmar to Arnold and Adeline (Norberg) Heining. He grew up on the family farm north of Atwater where he received his education in the Atwater schools. He attended college and earned a degree in electrical engineering.

He married Twyla Hovey in 1962. They lived in Atwater. In 1980, he moved to California and was employed in the electrical field. He owned and operated Lee's Electrical Consulting in Aptos, Calif.
He is survived by three daughters: Kimberly (and Ronald) Wothe of Spicer, Jacqueline Herman of Spicer and Melissa (and Craig) Mandery of Chanhassen; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother: Frank (and Barbara) Heining of Atwater and two sisters: Sherry (and Lee) Elton of Atwater and LeeAnn (and Bill) Houselog of Grove City, and his step-family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
