BIRD ISLAND -- Leslie W. Norskog, 88, formerly of Bird Island died Tuesday at Ebenezer Care Center in Burnsville.
The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bird Island. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Palmyra Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Bird Island.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Bird Island.

He was born April 14, 1918, in Minneapolis to Conrad and Esther (Dahlgren) Norskog. He graduated from Bird Island High School and the ag school at the University of Minnesota. He lived on the family farm for 83 years.
He married Phyllis Olson on May 25, 1941, in Lake Lillian. They moved to New London and later to the Twin Cities. He was also a Renville County Tax Assessor.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, active in the Renville County Historical Society and helped maintain and restore the Palmyra country church.
He is survived by his wife; children: Don (and Debbie) Norskog of Coon Rapids, Linda (and Lew) Sugerman of Tucson, Ariz., Noel Norskog of Santa Fe, N.M., Dee Dee (and Larry) Edlund of Richfield, Jody (and Katherine) Norskog of Santa Fe; and 15 grandchildren.
