I am really disappointed in the town of Willmar. For a town that was named an All-America city, it sure has some bad-looking Christmas lights and decorations all over town.
I feel that the city should make sure each year that all the lights are lit and to make sure they are straight. The hanging flower pots look like they just went out and cut some branches off an evergreen tree and took some dead branches and put them in the pots and stuck some Christmas balls and ribbon in to make it look like Christmas.
Why aren't the snowflakes down First Street lit? They would be really pretty lit up. Half-lit lights on the buildings and uptown makes it look like the town doesn't know how to check them and to change the burnt-out ones.
Go and look at the towns of Litchfield and Hutchinson; the lights across Main Street are beautiful. I wish Willmar could learn by those towns.
