Did you ever dream of being president? Neither did I, until lately. What would I do if I were George W. Bush?

I would address the Iraqi people and their fledgling government leaders by saying, "Although our force entered your country uninvited, we came convinced you would welcome the chance to be rid of your hated leader Saddam Hussein. We wanted to see him gone too. It turns out we made a terrible mistake. Now we must face the reality that as long as our forces remain in your country, the problems our invasion has caused cannot be solved. Therefore we must withdraw, never to come back unless, after your country has settled your differences, you invite us back to repair the damages our invasion caused. Speaking on behalf of my country, I apologize. I am so sorry."

Then I would climb down from the pedestal I've used for the past six years and resign.
