A Supreme Court dilemma
None of us are so dumb we believe Sen. Dean Johnson didn't ever talk about the so-called gay marriage issue to some Supreme Court judges. Johnson made a mistake in repeating the opinions expressed by them unofficially; something they were sworn not to do. When his conversations with the pastors were made public, Johnson understood the position the judges had been placed in and he publicly apologized to them.
The guy who taped the senator's conversations should have placed his tape recorder on the table for everyone to se.e His dishonesty cost him his credibility as a pastor. A Supreme Court judge, or two, might have said, "Wait a minute, Senator Johnson, maybe we should share with you in this." None of them did, so who gets the praise in this fiasco? Obviously it all goes to the senator. "The meek shall inherit the earth." Who said that?
