Driving from Morris back to Willmar on Saturday, my car decided to overheat. We stopped in Hancock and went into the gas station where the employee called as many people as she knew who might be able to help. The wife of a pastor from town loaned us her vehicle in case we were unable to get ours back to Willmar, and helped to brainstorm names of possible people who could help. Two gentlemen from Hancock who just happened to have stopped by the gas station eventually got the vehicle back in working condition, and we made it back to Willmar safely. Hats off to the Hancock residents who were quick to respond to someone in need, and for being a community of good neighbors.
