In 1776 our Founding Fathers gathered to write the Declaration of Independence and end the ties to Great Britain. To make a long story short, they met again 11 years later to draw up a constitution establishing a new government in our country. It was a republic, run by we the people, with liberty, freedom and justice for all! So what happened?

Well, in 1913 when Congress went home for the summer without adjourning, the few people that didn't leave let the Federal Reserve take over as the United States Treasury.

In this way, we lost our right to control our currency and became dependent on a private, secret entity who doesn't have to account to us for anything. In 1929 they tested their power by causing the Great Depression. They were successful and blamed President Hoover for it, and when Roosevelt was elected we became a democracy, with government getting control over the people. We are now at the mercy of the Federal Reserve, as we have gotten in debt over our heads with all of the socialist government programs.

Is there any hope? I don't know. However one thing I do know: We will never get there if we elect any of the people who are ahead in the race for president. They are not talking about abiding by our Constitution. All they can think about is telling people how they will improve on all the government programs, and people can't wait to get all the freebies! In my humble opinion, we will very soon be the same as slaves working for a world government.

We have a slight hope: If we could elect the one person who understands the situation and who has been fighting to turn things around for the last 20 years while serving in the Congress. We might just be able to save our country from bankruptcy. I am talking about Ron Paul. Look at his record -- if it works, your children, grandchildren and their children will have a chance to live a good life under our Constitution.
