"If my people who are called by my name" -- 2 Chronicles 7:14. That is us, the Christian people of the church.

I am writing to express my concerns about the upcoming national election on Nov. 7, and its implications for America's future. We are about to experience a time of decision on which our very survival and the values we hold dear will hang precariously in the balance. I fee we must address the burgeoning threat posed by Islamic fundamentalism. The security of our homeland and the welfare of our children and grandchildren are in jeopardy. This includes the marriage amendment.

Can we afford to stay at home on election day, and leave the future of our country in the hands of those who would sell us out? Absolutely not!

Think of ultra-liberals like actress Rosie O'Donnell, who said recently, "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America." People such as O'Donnell and her political friends could help bring about the destruction of Western civilization. Let's hope against hope that ultimate power will not lie within their grasp.

So get yourself informed on how each candidate stands on all the issues. I beg you to pray and present yourself at the polls on Nov. 7. It will take only a few minutes to indicate your preference, and the future of our nation may depend on the participation. Yet, approximately 21 million evangelical Christians did not bother to vote in 2004.

So please, do your part, Christian brothers and sisters, and vote your values. Let's not turn a deaf ear to his calling to serve him.
