Civilian sacrifices in Iraq

A few days ago I watched over TV a short clip of newscaster Brian Williams' interview with George W. Bush. The president admitted that 30,000 or so Iraqi citizens had lost their lives in his war. He claimed he felt bad but pointed out that they would be celebrated as heroes who had sacrificed their lives to bring democracy to their country.

I'd assume he considers our soldiers even greater heroes when they sacrifice their lives bringing democracy to a foreign country.

It always works! Think positive! Ignore our conscience and feel no guilt by celebrating as patriotic heroes those who perish because of our senseless wars.
