Your cartoon showing corn used for ethanol creating the hungry was tasteless and untrue.

There were hungry people long before we started using corn for ethanol and there always will be. The U.S. corn farmer produced a record crop of more than 13 billion bushels this year which is more than enough to help meet the needs of global hunger, offset petroleum use, provide a nutritious feed for livestock and still have plenty left over.

It's frustrating and unfair for corn farmers to be targeted like this. It would be great to see more constructive give and take discussions on food and fuel issues, but that kind of common sense rarely makes headlines.
