There are many letters pertaining to state elections. Our local elections should be important. I read a letter to the editor about Andrew Lindquist from his employer. He's responsible, reliable, willing to listen and represent the people of District 5, by communicating with the people. His credentials and support from his employer impress me greatly.
We voters at this time have no real representation. Eagle Lake voters said no to gravel pits, but the commissioners gave them gravel pits. Diamond Lake residents in August voted down sewer; in September our commissioners decided to come back and restart sewer discussions.
What is this? To me it's false representation. We need a representative who listens to the people who voted him or her into that position. Harlan Madsen held the position 12 years. It's time for change. He's too comfortable knowing we people let him get by with his circular talking and avoiding legitimate questions!
Lets start with Andrew Lindquist and next election replace more commissioners until we have five people with integrity, honesty and a real desire to improve our surroundings and quality of life. Not someone who talks the talk but can't walk the walk.
Andrew Lindquist gets my vote.
