Letter: County Board needs replacing

Why is it that when ACGC School District had a vote less than a year ago for more money, it was turned down and now there is a new vote for the same reason?...

Why is it that when ACGC School District had a vote less than a year ago for more money, it was turned down and now there is a new vote for the same reason?

Last summer Diamond Lake voted down sewer without 120 to 130 lakeshore owners having the right to vote because they didn't belong to the association. Now the county commissioners, in their September meeting, directed Harlan Madsen and Gary Geer, zoning department, to open new dialogue with the lake association board to proceed with sewer.

A few years ago, Eagle Lake residents were asked if gravel should be approved and they said no. They got gravel pits, which they took to court and now assessments are being taken after the fact.

Swan Lake hunters with the private road asked not to develop Swan Lake and the commissioners said too bad.

The north shore of Lake Calhoun sits empty, roads and graded areas polluting the lake with excessive runoff. Why? It was approved by our commissioners and the list goes on, but I'm limited to 250 words.

The commissioners say sewer is to improve water quality? Any idiot can research sewer to water quality and realize they're either ignorant or liars.

It's time to replace these commissioners with representatives who listen to the people who voted them in, not just Madsen, but all with the exception of maybe one or two.

I'm in Madsen's area and I called him three times with no reply. So I called Rep. Al Juhnke, who is much busier than Madsen, and I received a return call the next day from Juhnke himself and it got down that he'd talk to Madsen about neglect of his job. So vote no Madsen, yes Juhnke. I will.
