Find the common ground
After reading the headline story in the March 16 West Central Tribune, the phrase "honor among thieves" came to mind. Maybe we could add "honor among pastors" to that thought.
The game of "Gotcha" and the theology of "Win at any costs" keep marching on. The operating base of discrimination, fear and hate could win a few in the short run, but eventually that base will be eaten up from the inside by people tired of being hurt and hurting others.
Until we start working together and for one another and yes, that dirty word "compromise," there will be no winning in Minnesota.
Embellishments and untruths are not acceptable. Deceit and deception of fellow colleagues is not acceptable. Apologies are accepted. Now let's get on with it.

Find common ground and work from that point. At one time, Minnesota was considered above the political fray of national politics. Now it seems we have become involved in the same slash and burn politics, ashamed by the rest of the nation.
I believe Minnesota voters are really getting sick of this process, no matter what side of the fence they are on. The question is, will they drop out completely or try to vote out of this mess that has continued the last few year?
Elected officials, please do your best for the people of Minnesota. Not for you, your party or your sponsors. If you can't do that, get out!
