The thing I hate is Republicans hiding behind the pro-life issue. They can be against abortions, fine. But what about after the child pops his head out? Then they scream "welfare mothers" and cut their benefits. Severe cuts have been made to social service programs and for child care. And cuts made all the way from early childhood programs, pre-school programs, public schools, and education in general.

With their logic, it would be better to call children "post-term fetuses," and they would be better off. Pro-life? The public schools are reeling from drastic funding cuts. Their plan is to cut into them even further by taking monies from public schools to give vouchers to private schools. They fight a minimum-wage increase to even a livable wage. What about roads and transportation? What about the environment? What about health care?

Their answer is "no new taxes." Then they procede to raise fees, pass along cuts in local government aid to local entities, forcing property taxes to double-digit increases. People are not stupid. You know the the Democrats have been the ones to fight for the middle class. I know my life has not been drastically improved by the tax cuts to the rich and the ultra-rich. I urge all to vote and vote wisely. Let your conscience be your guide.
