My brother was in the city of Willmar Jan. 7-10, instructing individuals on how they can aid low-income and elderly people prepare their taxes.
There was a late-night disturbance at the motel where he was staying and some individuals were asked to leave. My brother was unaware of the disturbance until morning, when he found that when the individual(s) departed they slashed the sidewall of one of his tires.
Luckily he had emergency road service and the spare was used to replace the slashed tire. Our thanks to Johnson Towing for replacing the slashed tire with the spare; to Rule Tire for trying to locate a replacement tire (there were no replacements in town so he had to return home without a spare); and to the Willmar Police Department for investigating the slashed tire.
As for the individual(s) who slashed the tire, I hope you are proud of yourself for preying on a completely innocent visitor providing community service. You, or your friends, or your parents may be getting free tax preparation help, and a possible tax refund, while my brother paid $300-plus to replace his slashed tire.
