In a mailing to area voters, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life has endorsed Michael Cruze in the upcoming DFL primary. In addition to endorsing Cruze, the letter contains very specific instructions on how voters, regardless of party affiliation, can vote for Cruze in the privacy of the voting booth. Their instructions are: "If you choose, you can just vote for Michael Cruze and leave the rest of the ballot blank. It is up to you."

MCCL is urging non-DFL voters to forgo the opportunity to vote in their own party's primary in order to cast their ballots for a candidate who it appears is in the race because of abortion and gay marriage issues.

I guess MCCL's message would also apply to Republicans and Independents who believe Dean Johnson has been a good senator for District 13. They, likewise, can legally show their support for Johnson by voting for him on Sept. 12. Johnson holds one of the three most influential positions in Minnesota government, a position no newly elected person will achieve any time soon. His mainstream philosophy on multiple issues has been good for the citizens of District 13 as well as the entire state and he deserves our support.
