Letter: Johnson shows his true colors

Dean Johnson's pride and arrogance show through in his comments after his bid for re-elections failed. Apparently we are the "losers in this race" for not re-electing him.

I wonder just who he thinks he is? Are we just supposed to blindly re-elect him until he decides he wants to retire? He is a prime example of why we need term limits (two terms, you're out). No more career politicians!

The majority of the people in his district spoke. So now we are the "losers" because we didn't choose him. He has come down with the same virus that it appears all politicians eventually fall victim to: the inability to either know the truth or speak it.

It's been written "pride goes before the fall." We are now seeing it played out. It was Dean's pride in thinking he knew better than all his constituents. He would not accept what the people wanted, the issues that really matter to us. He apparently still fails to see that. He became a voice of the party, not our district, our people.

No one ran a clean campaign (in this race or any other!). There were plenty of special interests groups on both sides of the aisle. You may not have personally put the ad out, but your supporters and party did.
