A note of commendation is in order to the West Central Tribune for its hard-hitting, right-on editorial related to the state transportation bill. Particularly pleasing to me, as a longtime Litchfield resident, was the positive recognition of the efforts of state Sen. Steve Dille.
In his long public service career which includes tenures as township supervisor, county commissioner, state representative and now state senator, Dille's work has been characterized by intelligent, nonpartisan consideration of the issues. His vision is rarely clouded by the mind-warping effect of partisan politics.
If more legislators on both sides of the political aisle would tread on the same nonpartisan path Dille follows, our Legislature would be a much more pleasant and effective body. Litchfield and Meeker County can well be proud of this outstanding legislator.
