With the time to vote nearly at hand, I was reminded of the best choice of all. "If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator; if our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist; if our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist; if our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer; but our greatest need was forgiveness, so God sent us a Savior" (author unknown).

God gave us people with various gifts so we can work together to ultimately glorify him with our choices and with our lives.

I pray that all our candidates would live productive lives of integrity. When people choose to lead, it is true that much is expected. But for us not in elected positions, the problem lies with placing all of our trust in people, for people will eventually fail us. Don't get me wrong: Our vote counts, so get out and vote! But what we really need to do is daily set our focus a bit higher.
