It is always fun to read the letters to the editor by Inga Mae B. Urke, not that I ever agree with her reactionary political views but for various other reasons. In her most recent riposte in the West Central Tribune, she said that the Republican candidate for state senate (Joe Gimse), who meets all criteria of her repressive and oppressive political straightjacket so perfectly, is much too reluctant to go on the attack with negative TV advertisements. However, she is more than ready to step into the breach and do the necessary hatchet work when necessary.
Ms. Urke reminds me of a remark once made by Alice Roosevelt, the daughter of Teddy, when she once said at a party, "If you don't have anything good to say about anybody, come sit by me!" Apparently Inga is cut from the same cloth!
