On the government shutdown: Sen. Dean Johnson said, "It's tough to stand alone." Maybe he should look at himself in the mirror and ask, "Maybe I'm wrong?"

On the marriage amendment: In a District 13 mail survey, the majority wanted it on the ballot. Johnson said no.

On lying: This is not the first time Johnson has told untruths to put his point across. Could it be the last?

On ballparks: Johnson would not let it be put on the ballot because he knew it would be defeated. Instead, he passes the plate in Hennepin County, even though both the Hennepin County senators voted against it. Shouldn't that tell our senator something?

On the racino at Canterbury Park: In a District 13 mail survey, the majority wanted a racino. A racino would have paid for a Twins stadium, a Gophers stadium and a Vikings stadium and had money left over for Little League, but Johnson said no.
