In response to earlier letters to the editor, I will send a copy of the e-mail that I sent March 18 to the Upper Sioux Community tribal board's secretary for the tribal community newsletter to anyone interested. Call 320-564-4777 and leave your e-mail address and I will forward the e-mail with the attached narrative inviting Dakota participation in the living history event.
I also invited area citizens to participate with the same narrative in the local paper earlier this year.
I would like to state that the decision to hold the event was made by the director of the Division of Parks and Recreation, Courtland Nelson, not by me, and it was backed all the way to the governor's office.
