How can any caring person support the Republican Party after what it has become over the last seven years? We hold prisoners for years without charging them. Some are tortured, which President Bush denies yet he countersigns anti-torture laws that gives him the "right" to torture.
Bush accuses other nations of not following "rule of law" while his other countersignings allow him to ignore laws of his choosing. He accuses other nations of not having transparent governments while we can't see through his stained glass windows as he withholds requested documentation of his operations.
We remove the U.S. from several international treaties. We meddle in the affairs of others while we can't even fund our own domestic or environmental problems that are potentially greater than terrorism. Speaking of terrorism, Bush is still allowing 90 percent of the containers entering our nation to go unchecked. What is more important than examining what is actually coming into our country?
Bush feels our troops enjoy leaving their families at home while they fight his war. They don't have to be at war for us to support them. Meanwhile he attempted cutting troop salaries and treats veterans like crap. What more could one expect from a coward that backed out of his military commitment?
Bush won't pay for anything. Borrow and spend is the Republican policy even though we are bankrupting present and future economies. His proposed budget doesn't even include the cost of his war. Remember the words of our wise President Eisenhower, "Beware of the military-industrial complex." Bush is hip to hip with that complex.

Bush cuts Medicare and Medicaid to seniors, poor and children. As usual the rich are fine. No return to previous tax levels, plus let's make it permanent.
Republicans inherited a budget surplus from the Democrats. Now we are trillions in debt and the most hated nation in the world. Bush ran as a compassionate conservative. Perhaps someone should tell him what those words mean. Wake up, America!
