I am a senior citizen. My income is above poverty but below comfortable.
The cost of medicine is of great concern to me, no different than for thousands of other seniors. Today, I was relieved of $97 for 30 pills that I need to breathe.
The hardship stories among seniors go on and on. Where is our state and national leadership on this issue? There are many companies and care plans that help. Hallelujah! Recently, President Bush vetoed a bill to give poverty-stricken children health care. Where are the care, compassion and leadership in response to our citizens?
