Now with the talk of an independent counsel to investigate wrongdoing by the Bush administration for spying on Americans to supposedly address the issue of dealing with terrorism, we ask what's the likelihood of anything coming of it, even if President George Bush is found guilty?
He's guilty of lying and getting the United States involved in a war in Iraq under false pretenses. Sen. John McCain, representative of Arizona, said Sunday on "Face the Nation" that global warming is a serious issue that the Bush administration's policies are contributing to, not solving.
Bush is no doubt guilty of much wrongdoing. But if he was removed from office, Dick Cheney would be president. Who could imagine anything worse than that -- except for the possibility of Tim Pawlenty becoming president in 2008?
