Letter: The voters have spoken, Mr. Burns

John Burns (Public Forum, Dec. 11) can use all the accusatory, inflammatory language that he wants to slam the belief systems of our local electorate (and he almost exhausted the thesaurus on that count).

The fact remains that the voters of District 13 have spoken. There are many fine citizens in our area who love and admire Sen. Dean Johnson. We appreciate the representation and benefits that he has brought to Kandiyohi County and the surrounding region.

However, somewhere along the way, Johnson began to lose touch with the voters of District 13. At the very least, he began to believe that we wouldn't see or care about the chasm between what he says he values, versus his actions as documented by his voting record in the Minnesota Senate.

He couldn't have been more wrong.
