First things first, I would like to thank everyone that writes to the West Central Tribune Public Forum page. I have read the Public Forum since I moved back to the Willmar area for the public's words of wisdom and knowledge. But for some reason the Forum has turned into an old school blog. I cannot understand why people are writing about topics that do not concern most of us in west central Minnesota.
To me there is more then partisan politics to talk about, but I think that is all most people think about these days. If that is all we think about, how can we ask ourselves, "Why are the citizens in Minnesota and the U.S. not voting?" It's simple, society is so busy discussing Democrat this and Republican that.
I hope there is a day when I can read the newspaper, watch and/or listen to the news and hear positive news regarding our country, not only Republican that and Democrat this. I know our form of government is democratic, but does it matter that you vote Democrat or Republican? I think not. All of us need to reprogram ourselves to vote on principles instead of party. Think about it.
