Letter: Time to take back our country

We, as voters, need to take our country back. We have lost much of our liberty. We no longer follow the Constitution, and we have little to say about how the government is run.

We, as voters, need to take our country back. We have lost much of our liberty. We no longer follow the Constitution, and we have little to say about how the government is run.

Why? I believe it is because we have given up and believe there is nothing we can do. I also believe that is wrong! If you think about it, why are politicians spending billions trying to convince you that they are going to give you everything free?

Medical prescriptions, health care, Social Security, schooling, etc. Yet they claim they won't raise taxes! The truth is less than 100 years ago we had none of the 100 taxes we have today -- and don't forget that all the fees we pay go to the government too.

It takes two incomes today to raise a family. That's half of your paycheck that could be used to buy all that so-called free stuff, rather than on taxes, plus be able to save some for a rainy day besides.

Our country started out as a republic, a government run by we the people. We are now called a democracy and run by politicians, and most of them care only about themselves and the power and money they can get. Your tax money! The future of our country will hinge on the way you vote. If we do things right we will have a good future for our children and generations to come. If not, well, you get the point!

There is only one person running for president that will do all that is in his power to go back to the Constitution and save this country from the Government of the Big Boys, for the Big Boys, by the Big Boys, and that is Congressman Ron Paul of Texas. But he has to have the support of all of us who want a change! Vote!
