I taught high school agriculture for 10 years. I was also a farm business management instructor with Ridgewater College for four years. Because of my support for public education, I was endorsed by Education Minnesota when I ran for the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2002.
This year I am putting my full support behind Scott Van Binsbergen for the Minnesota House of Representatives. Van Binsbergen is concerned about adequate funding for public schools. He understands that declining enrollment has the biggest impact in the funding of rural schools.
Van Binsbergen knows that it's jobs that keep families in our neighborhoods and jobs that attract new families to our area. These families add to our communities, our schools, and our churches.
As a businessman, he has proven his ability to create jobs. More than 130 people are on the payroll of one of his business ventures.
