I normally don't write letters to the editor, but I feel that someone needs to come to Ron Christianson's defense. At the recent Willmar City Council meeting, he voted exactly as virtually everyone from this part of town asked him to. I don't consider a vote in the best interests of this ward to be any sort of conflict of interest.
I don't believe Verna Kelly (Public Forum, July 30) lives in this ward. If she is so enamored with low-income and extremely low-income housing, perhaps we should petition the City Council to build some in her back yard. Possibly we could even arrange to have the council meeting one business day after the notice goes into this newspaper. Keep up the good work, Ron. As long as you work for our best interests, you'll have my support.
