Letter: Waiting to be free of Bush

I really think it's funny to hear people speak in a frantic tone. Oh no, not Hillary Clinton in 2008! Oh no, not Barack Obama, he is black! What possible difference could it make? A lot of these same people voted for George W. Bush and his father.

I really think it's funny to hear people speak in a frantic tone. Oh no, not Hillary Clinton in 2008! Oh no, not Barack Obama, he is black! What possible difference could it make? A lot of these same people voted for George W. Bush and his father.

I, being of a very liberal favor, could sure say "Oh no, not John McCain in 2008!" There goes Social Security and Medicare, another cutthroat conservative who wants to rob from the programs to serve the poor and elderly to finance tax breaks for the wealthy. Another Republican who is in denial up to his eyeballs about global warming because he does not want his fat-cat corporate executive friends to pay to become responsible, it might cost them money. Yes, for sure John McCain, another self-righteous, Bible-thumping, two-faced crook.

Instead of saying oh no, not John McCain, not Hillary Clinton, not Obama, I would not say no to any candidate in 2008 -- Republican, Democrat, Independent, man or woman, black, white, Native American, Hispanic. What I will say in 2008 is like Martin Luther King Jr. said in a speech. But, as I'd change the reference to George W. Bush and his entire family because this is not a partisan issue: "We're free at least, thank God almighty, we're free at last" of the Bush crime family at large. They're all at large and will never be prosecuted.
