Letter: Waldemarsen on shaky ground

I have read with great interest letters on both side of the Dean Johnson embellishment story. I have a question that I have not seen answered in any of the coverage by the media or in any of the letters I have read in the papers.

Brent Waldemarsen taped this conversation, apparently without anyone there even knowing it. How did he just happen to have a tape recorder with him? Evidently it was very small if he was able to hide it.

It strikes me as a bit of a stretch to think it was just coincidental. How did he know ahead of time what was going to be discussed? Or does he tape a lot of things and just happened to get something interesting this time?

I don't condone what Johnson said, it makes me no difference, but I think the good Pastor Waldemarsen was on pretty shaky ground when he made his recording.
