I was so glad to see the article in the West Central Tribune on Nov. 1 of the press conference held by the West Central Citizens for Freedom that brought together Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, Minnesota Family Council, Minnnesota Citizens in Defense of Marriage, along with others, in order to expose the inaccuracies contained in the mailings of the DFL Party on behalf of Dean Johnson.
For too long Johnson has attempted to appear pro-life and pro-family. He likes to call these groups extremists and outsiders. But the truth is that they speak for the majority of constituents in Senate District 13.
The real truth is that many of the groups that support Johnson are extremists and outsiders. Take for example the pro-abortion group (NARAL/Pro-Choice Minnesota) and the militant gay rights group OutFront Minnesota.
Does anyone really believe that Johnson would get the support and endorsement of these groups if he supported our values? Hardly!
Sadly, it seems that Johnson cares more about representing the values of those outside the district then he does ours. And he is now trying to backpedal big time in order to cover his tracks. Please don't be deceived by his Orwellian doublespeak tactics. The basic family structure needs to be protected and preserved for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

Think about it. We need a change in leadership.
