After 9/11, Condoleeza Rice, then President George W. Bush's national security advisor, said on television, "Who would have ever thought that anyone would take an airplane and fly it into a building?"

After Hurricane Katrina and the dreadful flooding of New Orleans, President George Bush himself said, "No one ever thought the levees would break!"

Now, the whole administration, including Bush, is saying in regard to the Palestinian election in Israel, "Nobody ever thought the Hamas party would win!"

Come to think of it, Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, was surprised when the Berlin Wall came down!

And now George W. Bush wants more leeway in using U.S. intelligence forces in this country and around the world.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it, if he would know what to do with it?
