Why hasn't Osama bin Laden been caught? For some understanding of the situation, take a look at the desert southwest of our own country. Down in the mountains of the desert along the border is the closest thing we have to the physical elements of the area that bin Laden, and the forces of al-Qaida with him, use in their flight from civilization.
Read of the travails our military had in running down the Apache and the other tribes associating with them. This is the same type of battle we fight in catching these terrorists and ending the support they have from Muslim supporters. The only thing that eventually defeated the Indian warriors was the lack of supplies.
This is not happening with al-Qaida as the other Islamic tribes and nations are supporting them with hiding places, guns, ammunition, food, medical supplies -- in short, everything they need to remain active and in the field. As long as they have this support, they will continue.
Certain members of Congress are using this situation to call for a vote of no confidence in President Bush. I think it would be most interesting to see a nationwide vote of no confidence in Congress. Think about it.
