Our futile attempt to democratize the Middle East is not only asinine but immoral and un-American. We unjustifiably invaded a small, defenseless, oil-rich country. We perpetrated the deaths of tens of thousands of their people, many of them women and children.
We destroyed the country's infrastructure and uprooted over a million families from their lifelong homes and turned them into refugees. Only a gang with a very low grade of crude oil running in their veins could think up such a diabolical scheme.
