WILLMAR -- The Willmar Police Department has issued a news release to inform the public that a Level Three sex offender will moveto Willmar next week.

Dennis James Kirkwood, 56, will be moving to the 1100 block of Sixth Street Southeast on June 17.
According to the release, Kirkwood has a history of sexual contact with adult female victims who have been both known and unknown to him.
The sexual contact has included penetration, and he has gained compliance through use of force. Kirkwood is an African-American man, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing
339 pounds. He has a medium complexion, gray hair and brown eyes. Kirkwood is not wanted by the police and has completed his sentence, according to the news release.
The Willmar Police Department cannot control where he lives, works or goes to school, but it may notify the public of his presence in the community.
Convicted sexual or predatory offenders have always been released to live in the state’s communities, according to the release.
