KANDIYOHI -- Levi Joseph Marcotte, 13, of Kandiyohi, and formerly of Willmar, died Wednesday following an accident.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Patrick in Kandiyohi. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
He was born Dec. 23, 1993, in Willmar to Dean and Brenda (Koroschec) Marcotte. He grew up in the Willmar area, attending Jefferson, Kennedy and Roosevelt elementary schools and he had just completed the seventh grade at Willmar Junior High School. The family had moved to rural Kandiyohi the first week in August. He worked on his uncle's farm, doing rock picking.

He was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. He played football, basketball and baseball, sang in choir and played in band for school activities. He was also on the honor roll and active with Rural Youth Leaders.
He is survived by his parents; brother: Blake, all of Kandiyohi; grandparents: George and Anne Marcotte, Marshall and Renee Koroshec, Aurora; great-grandparents: Rose Koroshec and Wayne Hakala, both of Aurora.
He was preceded by his grandfather: Al Koroshec; and great-grandparents.
