HUTCHINSON -- Lilas June Harbarth, 52, of Hutchinson, formerly of Atwater, died Wednesday at Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson, after a battle with cancer.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday at Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

She was born June 20, 1953, in Willmar to Marvin and Myrtle (Holtz) Mahn. She grew up in Atwater and graduated from Atwater High School in 1971. She graduated from the Abbott Northwestern School of Nursing in Minneapolis on June 7, 1974.

She married Dale Harbarth on March 21, 1981, in Hutchinson. They lived in Hutchinson. She worked as a registered nurse at Hutchinson Community Hospital, where she was charge nurse, and later as a nurse for Hutchinson Public Schools. She was a caregiver at Averyon Homes Inc. in Hutchinson. She also helped with the operation of Dale's Auto Sales, the family business in Hutchinson.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, and volunteered as a scout master.

She is survived by her husband; sons: David Harbarth, Mark Harbarth, Scott Harbarth, all of Hutchinson; her parents of Atwater; and siblings: Lloyd (and Kathy) Mahn, Brian Mahn, all of rural Atwater, Marilyn (and Harold) Lundin of rural Litchfield, and Ardis (and Dan) Denn of Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother.
