BENSON -- Lillian Dorothy Rose Shores, 91, of Benson, formerly of Murdock, died Monday at Swift County Benson Hospital.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

She was born March 12, 1917, in Chippewa County to Oscar and Helena (Lange) Levitz. She grew up in rural Maynard and attended school in Maynard and Murdock. She graduated from Maynard High School.

She married William Shores on March 14, 1937, in Chippewa County. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock where she was in the WELCA, the Sarah and Esther Circles and taught Sunday school. She was a leader in the Hayes-Kildare 4-H Club.

She is survived by her husband; children: Stephen (and Darleen) Shores of Murdock, Stan (and Carol) Shores of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Jan (and Gary) Bjorngjeld of Murdock; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister: Beatrice Magnuson of New London.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
