SUNBURG -- Lillian Marie Sondrol, 89, of rural Sunburg died Tuesday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Burial will be at the West Norway Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Sunburg Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
She was born July 28, 1918, in Kerkhoven Township, Swift County, to Bertha (Stenseth) and Ludvig Nyback. She grew up in that area and attended the rural school near her home.
She married Ervin O. Sondrol on Dec. 24, 1937, in Benson. They lived on a farm near Sunburg. In July 2007, she moved to Rice Care Center.

She was a life member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she was active in ladies aid and taught Sunday School.
She is survived by one daughter: Beverly (and Dude) Van Heuveln of Murdock; one daughter-in-law: Deloris (and Ardell) Marquardt of Sunburg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; one son: Bruce in 1979; one brother; and one sister.
