WILLMAR -- Linda Kay Cogelow, 54, of Willmar died Friday at Infinia in Willmar from a lifelong struggle with diabetes, kidney disease and most recently lymphoma.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
She was born April 17, 1953, in Willmar to Walter and Clara (Nelson) Cogelow. She grew up in Willmar; where she attended Lafayette Elementary. In 1971, she graduated from Willmar Senior High School and in 1976 she graduated from St. Cloud State University, with a bachelors of elective studies in art and children's literature.

She married Ronald Adams Aug. 6, 1976. They lived in Willmar. She taught in the Willmar Public Schools as the coordinator for Early Childhood Family Education for 16 years. She retired in 1996, after her stroke. She received a kidney/pancreas transplant in 1997.
She was a lifetime member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and the Calvary Quilters. The Willmar Public Library displayed her art work; such as her puppet characters, dollhouses and art landscapes from dough. She also wrote dozens of picture books and children's stories.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Jamie Adams of Brooklyn Center and Emily Adams of Willmar; siblings: Mary Ann Cogelow (and Paul Hanson) of Minneapolis, Margaret Cogelow of Minneapolis, Fred (and Doris) Cogelow of Willmar and John Cogelow of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by their daughter, Naomi Cogelow Adams, and a brother.
