Litchfield father and son arrested Saturday for a string of burglaries at ACGC High School

A 42-year-old Litchfield man and his 18-year-old son were located Saturday morning on the roof of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School in Grove City. The men are suspects in two other burglaries at the school.

GROVE CITY — A father and son were arrested for burglary early Saturday morning at the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a burglary alarm around 12:03 a.m. Saturday at the school and located a 42-year-old Litchfield man and his 18-year-old son on the roof of the building.

An investigation revealed the men were suspects in prior burglaries at the school on Nov. 14 and Dec. 5, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Both are being held in the Meeker County Jail pending formal charges for all three burglaries and are expected to make their first appearance Monday in Meeker County District Court.
